If you weren't able to pick up your Bay Creek HOA swim bands for the upcoming swim season, you will have another opportunity on Saturday, May 17.
HOA board members will be at the pool from 12 to 2 p.m. to distribute the wrist bands. Remember the bright blue bands are required for admittance into the pool and must be worn at all times in the pool area.
To receive bands, homeowners must have paid their 2008 dues and their HOA account is paid in full. No dues' payments will be accepted on May 17 by the HOA board members.
Payments should be sent to the Bay Creek HOA, P.O. Box 105007, Atlanta, GA 30348-5007.
All dues paid after March 15 are assessed a 10% penalty.

Pick up your swim bands Saturday
The HOA is distributing swim wrist bands on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a stand set up at the corner of Bay Grove Rd. and Shannon Rd.
HOA Board Members will be on hand to distribute the new wrist bands that must be worn at the pool this swim season. (Pool is to open for the weekend of May 17 and full time operation begins May 24.)
Residents will be asked to sign for the wrist bands. The bands will only be given to adults and to those residents whose HOA accounts are paid in full.
The HOA requires that the bands be worn at all times when using the pool property. This is done to prevent non-HOA members and those from neighboring subdivisions from accessing our facilities. The Bay Creek recreation area is only for residents of The Landings I & II, The Cove, and The Plantation at Bay Creek.

You CAN water....sort of
Gwinnett County has lessen the strict water restrictions that our neighborhood (and all other neighborhoods) in Gwinnett have been under for the past year. As of April 8, residents can how hand water their plants...but only on alternate days. The details on the watering restrictions are as follows:
Last month, the Board of Commissioners delegated day-to-day water conservation decisions to County Administrator Jock Connell.
His decision today allows hand watering of plants between midnight and 10 a.m. on the even-odd schedule allowed by the state. Such watering is limited to 25 minutes using a standard spray nozzle that turns off when released. Still in effect are limits the Board approved in December that restrict watering of newly installed landscaping and replanting, conditioning, reseeding, aerating or other activities to restore or improve existing turf or landscaping. Those actions are allowed on 10 of the first 30 days after installation by licensed landscapers, golf course contractors, and sports turf landscapers. Connell's decision continues the restrictions, which would have expired at the end of March, until further notice.
"We're trying to balance the health and welfare of the county's citizens and businesses with the ongoing water releases from Lake Lanier , the reality of the continuing drought and the need to conserve our water supply," said Connell. " Lake Lanier is still 14 to 15 feet below normal for this time of the year. It is rising but we doubt it will fill up this spring, so it's imperative that Gwinnett residents continue to conserve water. We'll see how it goes as we move into spring and summer."

More Garbage News
If you are a customer of Quality Waste Service, you soon will have a new carrier and your billings will come from the new owner, Waste Pro.According to Quality's president, Richard Watson, "Rates for current customers will remain the same and service will continue uninterrupted." Watson, who said he will remain involved with the business as Waste Pro's operations manager, emphasized that "the only thing that will change is the name of the company."
In a March 30 Gwinnett Daily Post Letter to the Editor, John Bellamy , a representative of Waste Pro, explained that Waste Pro "was and is a fully licensed residential hauler in Gwinnett County." "The good people of Quality Waste are now part of the Waste Pro family, and they will continue to help us build upon our combined reputation for great services at fair prices throughout the county."
"To avoid confusion," wrote Bellamy, "all vehicles will be repainted to Waste Pro's specifications, and all billings and customer service functions will reflect Waste Pro as the provider."
